In order to join the Fordham Undergraduate Law Review, students must be enrolled as undergraduates at Fordham University at either the Rose Hill or Lincoln Center campuses. The Fordham Undergraduate Law Review does not accept submissions from students from other universities, nor does it accept submissions from Fordham alumni.
Fordham undergraduate students are able to join the Fordham Undergraduate Law Review as either a Staff Writer/General Member or as a Senior Editor.
In order to join as a Staff Writer/General Member, email fulr@fordham.edu to subscribe to the email list. Staff Writers/General Members are able to write for the print publication and the online blog and attend FULR networking events, writing workshops, research workshops, and citation workshops.
In order to join as a Senior Editor, students must have writing and editing experience. Senior Editors are permitted to both write for the Journal and edit submissions. In order to apply, please email fulr@fordham.edu for the application.
If a Fordham undergraduate student is interested in writing for the journal, they may write for either the print publication or the online blog. Print publication notes are generally 7-9 pages, single-spaced. Online blog notes are generally about 4 pages long, single-spaced. FULR guides students through the process of choosing a topic, conducting legal research, crafting an outline, writing, and creating citations and footnotes. We do so through weekly meetings, periodic deadlines, and providing feedback to writers throughout the semesterly publication process.
